Queen for the Week

Queen for the Week

Carolyne Grainger, who was Fair Queen’s attendant in 1982, has kindly agreed to act as our senior Queen for our 50th year and is looking forward to taking part in Fair Week again.

Carolyne says: I was a Fair Queen Attendant way back in 1982, of which I have very fond memories. I am now 52, married with two grown up sons, and am currently working as a community nurse in Plymouth.

Pictures: 1982 and 2019 portraits of Carolyne, and a picture of the 1982 Fair Week royalty. We can name some of them – is there anyone you recognise?
